10+ Years Vertigo-Free: How Oregano Oil Helped Me Manage Vestibular Neuritis (My Personal Story)
⚠️ IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER (Please Read First)
This post is purely my personal experience and thoughts. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation. Vestibular neuritis and vertigo are serious conditions-always consult a qualified doctor (like an ENT specialist or neurologist) first for proper evaluation and care. Hulda Clark's theories (which I studied years ago) are not recognized or supported by mainstream medicine and lack scientific evidence. Oregano oil is a strong essential oil that can cause side effects like stomach irritation, allergic reactions, or interactions with medications-use extreme caution, start small, and talk to a healthcare professional before trying it. Do not replace professional medical treatment with any natural remedies.
Back in 2014, I was just sitting on the sofa chatting with my family when the world suddenly started spinning. The ceiling whirled like crazy, nausea hit hard, and I rushed to the bathroom to vomit. It wasn’t normal dizziness-it felt completely different and overwhelming.
My family helped me get to a local clinic right away. They gave me an injection that stopped the spinning for a bit, but it came roaring back within hours. For the next 10 days, I dealt with constant, room-spinning vertigo that made it hard to even think straight.
We went to a university hospital for an MRI, which ruled out any brain problems. The diagnosis: vestibular neuritis—inflammation of the vestibular nerve in the inner ear. The doctors said there’s no specific cure; they prescribed anti-nausea meds only. My family was relieved it wasn’t something worse in the brain, and things gradually calmed down for them.
After about 10 days, the severe spinning faded, but the recovery was tough: poor balance, constant fatigue, and weakness. It took 1–2 full months before I felt somewhat normal again.
Once I was back on my feet, a big fear hit me: What if this happens again?
I started researching more seriously. I’d come across Hulda Clark’s ideas before (an alternative health approach focusing on bacteria, parasites, and natural remedies), so I dove deeper into bacterial theories. One thing jumped out: I realized I hadn’t been using oregano oil, which is known for its strong antimicrobial properties (especially against certain bacteria like Clostridium).
Around that time, I had old gold dental crowns replaced with zirconia. When one came off, it revealed a badly blackened, dead tooth underneath. That made me think dental issues might play a role in allowing bacteria to affect nearby areas, possibly contributing to inner ear or nerve problems. (This was my personal belief based on what I’d read and experienced.)
So I decided to try oregano oil daily as my main support.
How I take it (to make it bearable):
• A few drops in empty capsules and swallow.
• Or drop it onto a piece of bread so it doesn’t burn my mouth directly.
(Taking it straight is way too intense!)
I stuck with it consistently for about two years—no recurrences at all. Life felt normal, and I even forgot how scary those episodes had been. The strong smell made me lazy for a few months… and then it came back.
The second attack was frightening, but I acted fast: started oregano oil immediately. Within 1–2 days, the spinning slowed noticeably. By day 3, it stopped completely. The lingering imbalance and fatigue still took weeks to clear, though.
That relapse scared me enough to make oregano oil a daily must. I’ve kept it up even after getting other natural tools later on.
Recently, a friend was struggling with lingering dizziness after BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). I sent her some oregano oil and empty capsules. After about a week, her long-term mild vertigo cleared up—she’s been taking it regularly ever since. Another local friend tried it and reported real improvement too.
It’s now been over 10 years since my last episode. No spinning, no major relapses. I still take oregano oil daily and feel it’s been a big help for me.
Again—this is just my personal story, not a recommendation for anyone else. Everyone’s body is different, and what helped me might not help you. If you’re dealing with vertigo, inner ear issues, or anything similar, please see a doctor first. Natural options like oregano oil can be powerful but aren’t risk-free.
Have you dealt with vestibular neuritis or vertigo? What helped you? I’d love to hear your experiences in the comments!
